Default CPU, MB & Memory bundle advice

Haven't bought PC equipment for a long long time but a mate at work needs new bits for a machine which will be used purely for media.

It'll hooked up to a TV & Projector plus will serve media to various devices around the house.

Has anyone seen any good deals? Not too sure on price but say up to £250 for the lot.

Any of the bundles in my recent upgrade thread would probably be good.

The Llano has a GPU on board, which is apparently very good when twinned with a complimentary GFX card.

I bought the i3 and have found it to be incredibly good and runs Fallout New Vegas so much better than my old machine

The main thing he is after is playing 1080p 3D movies as he's got himself a 3D TV.

He's got £90 worth of vouchers for currys so I suggested this: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/asus-in...28589-pdt.html

Given OcUK sell that bundle for £165, I wonder if he'd be better off saving the vouchers for something else rather than buying it at £199 just to use them?

As for the 3D thing - not sure how that operates really through PCs at the moment. Most of it seems geared towards gaming and high power graphics cards, i'm not sure what the score is with 3D films and whether an i3 would manage 3D 1080p.

Cheers for the response guys. He went with Currys anyway and I installed it the other day, works a treat!
