Murders of Ipswich
Im quite shocked about all the murders that have happened recently, especially now all 5 girls have been found murdered.
Its worrying that there are actually people out there that could do this, especially 5 times and not get caught, but it must be awful for the people around that area as the person could strike again at any time. Part of me feels that when people turn to prostitution that they take these risks, and it makes me sad to think that people have to resort to this, and how even though its illegal it all still goes on (like most illegal things of course) Not much point to this thread, but its something quite scary/shocking thats in the news atm and thought I would say my views on it.

I consider this to be the most chilling bit. Heard someone on the radio (not sure if it was a policeman or a psych expert, or both) who was saying that the very fact that the bodies were taken to specific locations after being killed showed that the person was calm and careful. The idea that someone could evade capture for so long, in a relatively small area, with half the county looking for them, whilst still carrying out these acts either means you're looking at an unspeakably calculating, intelligent, and disturbed individual, or an extremely lucky idiot.

You beat me to it i was thinking the same. Its scary that its only taken him/her 10 days to kill those 5 women.
I know its not the 1st or 2nd killing spree on prostitutes but its still a huge shock. You just don't think serial killings happen. Well only in films! I'm not one for watching the news, I'd rather sit in my lil bubble. Its the way i cope. So it was a huge shock to find out what is really happening in the real world!!! My heart goes out to the Parents and Family of the women. The whole of Ipswich walks with fear. Hope they find the killer asap!!! |

It's only been a week hasnt it? Not really a long time at all if you compare it to other serial killers timescales. I'm guessing that the total media flooding is at the request or permission of the police? I bet the killer is loving every minute.

Personally I hate the way the media are making a big point of them being prostitutes. I don't care what they do for a living, they're people, they are someone's daughter, someone's sister, someone's friend. No one deserves to be murdered.

Five murders of prostitutes? Do we have a Jack the Ripper impersonator?

I've known several women who have been prostitutes at some point. They were all single mothers and paying themselves through university to get a better job for a better life for their kids.
Police are now searching the area where 2 of the bodies were found. I'm guessing they are searching for more bodies. |

I guess being a prostitute is hard to understand when you dont know what they have to go through and what makes them do it. Its sad that some people get so desperate for money that they do that, although some women may enjoy it.
I really hope they dont find any more bodies. The news said this is the biggest man hunt in 30 years!

I think the media is fueling the situation rather than making everyone aware. My guess is that he or she is on a spree before being caught. I dare say that if there wasn't so much media then he/she may have not have kiiled so many in such a short space of time. He/She knows now that they are most wanted and it's only a matter of time before being caught. I guess they thinking to get as many in before so. The person has nothing to loose now. It's frightening to think that it's so close and most of my friends and family live in Ipswich including Copdock, where one of the victims was found. Shocking really.
