Wii Virtual Console
Anybody else downloaded some of the old console games? I happen to think they are a bit steeply priced but had a look today and fancied a bash so bought 3000 Wii Points and got Golden Axe.
It's soooo cool Just like playing it all those years ago. It's amazing how much you forget, but then how much you remember again Going to keep the other points set aside for other games as they come out.

I bought Altered Beast and Street Fighter II a few weeks back but I can't play any of them unless I switch back to using the composite lead
As soon as I start the games when the Wii is using component the TV moans that it can't display the out of range picture (I doubt that a 1992 game will be trying to run at > 1366x768) and I have to press the home button a couple of times to get back to the Wii menu. Golden Axe is next on my list of stuff to buy, but I can't be arsed having to switch cables around each time I want to play an oldie. |

I won't be buying many at all. Maybe another 2 max, just depending on what comes out.

Super Mario World is on the SNES section, probably the best release along with the 2 N64 games so far.

It's all about gameplay! Me and my housemate have finished that twice in the last six months on the Megadrive, and I've completed it again since then. I think it still looks pretty good though considering it's fifteen years old. They should re-release it with souped-up graphics. I'd certainly buy it again.

They are a bit pricey considering how old they are. I currently have Bomberman, Mario 64, Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World and some crap one i can't remember. Jodie loves all the old mario games so is pretty chuffed. Hope the original Mario Kart comes out soon.
