Grab a copy of ephpod and give that a whirl. I've never liked iTunes so used ephpod from when I got my first iPod.

If you put your ipod in disk access mode you can just copy your songs to the ipod folder.

Personally I don't see what everyone's big beef with iTunes is

I dont see the problem with iTunes either. Does all I want it to. Althought I am using the Mac version, and have not used the Windows version.

I don't have a beef with iTunes as such, I just preferred using other programs for managing my iPod and playing music.

iTunes is really starting to piss me off. Half the time it doesn't sync my playlist between the iPod and the PC and needs to be continually restarted to get it to work, and every other time you open it there's a new version to install. I wouldn't mind except the new version is always just as faulty as the last.

Time to switch I think!

I use iTunes which seems to order my music very well indeed. So i do not have a problem with the iTunes. Though I can not get my iPod ( Nano 8Gb ) to install the latest version, 1.3, so it is still using 1.1. The Update button is depressed in iTunes when I connect my Nano and will not let me select it !
Any ideas ?
Do i need to reinstall it ?

Many thanks

Seems to work better iTunes

Thought I'd have a quick stab at winamp.. there's a few plugins available but it's not that great.
