Why Viewsonic truly are the best

My Viewsonic VP930 is showing some very worrying symptoms. Every now and then when I turn it on, if I am unlucky, I am stuck with green lines going down my screen. The lines only appear on areas which would be grey or black and generally ruin my display.

So I gave Viewsonic a phone call. I got connected to a human adviser within 13 seconds of call (I couldn't believe this), and after 8 minutes I have managed to get them to agree to give me a brand new monitor as soon as they take mine away for me. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting this.

As for why they're the best, it is because this VP930 is quite clearly the best monitor I've ever had (its also the first LCD I've ever had, but hey

)

I've had good experiences with Viewsonic. When I bought my 17" Viewsonic it arrived DOA, and overclockers wouldn't take it back and told me to contact Viewsonic.
Viewsonic were very fast at answering phones, and although it took a while to get a replacement, it was understandable because it was an old model that they had to transfer from somewhere in the Netherlands iirc. But I was impressed at how fast they answered phones and how efficient the courier they used was.

Well if they hadn't already convinced me they were the greatest, they just have now. The new monitor arrived a whole four days early, to top it off

Thing is now I'm off to uni and I really need this screen for my computer... compounded with the fact I can't afford a new one now that I don't work any more.

The one I mentioned earlier in the thread died since this thread but they replaced it with a newer, much better model, however that did take a couple of weeks

I was lucky and had spare monitors about though so it was just an irritatant for me.

Right I fixed it by pushing the AC power cord in harder because I thought power wasn't going in properly (since only certain colours mess up) so I am thinking the monitor got a bit of a shunt somewhere and some contacts are maybe loose? I am afraid to take a screwdriver to it in case I totally kill it and they refuse to replace it - I don't know where I stand with regards to this.

It works correctly for now, the particular colour (a dark-ish red/maroon) only looks wrong if you bring your eyes to within an inch of the screen, but if it gets worse I don't know what to do. It isn't like they can send a refurb to university halls, is it?

I assume you've confirmed that it's the screen(s) at fault and not your gfx card?
