Default Post your instruments!

I noticed in a thread "over there" that Mohinder had some guitars on his wall and I know that a few other people here are musical so I thought it would be quite cool to see what everybody had!

I will start off with my baby:

I really love this guitar - I had about 15 or so guitars at one point and this one was always the one I went back to for a quick blast.

I dont have any pics of them but currently I have a Fender Travel Strat thats exceptionally rare (one of 50 in sunburst orange), a gorgeous Marlin half-height semi-acoustic, a cheapo nylon-strung acoustic and although I cant remember the name, a really gorgeous (both in looks and to play) steel strung acoustic.

The nicest guitar I have ever owned was a Japanese copy of a 1952 Telecaster, it was an absolute JOY to play on and if I could ever afford an original (they cost about £40k) I would snap one up in a heartbeat!

The gutar I want next (because I *will* get over my hands being fecked and start playing again) is a Paul Reed Smith single cut Eagle. Yummy, especially when coupled with something like a Mesa Boogie amp

Holly, teh flash seems to have obliterated the image but it appears to be a soft shade of blue, but now is it finished? Is a it a solid, creamy opaque finish under the varnish or can you see the wood through it?

From left to right:

Tanglewood electro-acoustic, Epiphone SG, Washburn Rover travel guitar, Gibson Les Paul Goldtop '57 reissue, some generic bass that my mate donated to me (sounds alright with new strings).

The Goldtop has an amazing tone. It's not great for fast solos (which is handy since I can't play them anyway!) but has a really meaty sound. I hope to upgrade my acoustic at some point in the near future as the Tanglewood is still near the beginners end of the market.

Additionally, the amp is a Peavey 2x600W and the digital recorder/CD writer is a Fostex VF80. Can't remember the wattage of the speakers offhand, but I'm sure they're at least 300W.

I might have a guitar and bass on my wall but I still haven't really got round to learning them

I will, it'll take me and I'll dive into it properly but I just don't find time at the moment. I *have* time, I just don't *find* time. Shameful, actually.

Anyway, here they are:

A Dean Evo guitar and a Yamaha RBX170 bass (same as Holly's older one)
