My car is famous

OK so it's not exactly one of the big boys but my car has made print.

Last month the MR2 Mk1 club had a stand at the stoneleigh restoration show. The idea of the show is that rather than just showing off shiny fully restored cars that you have a work in progress on the stand and do a bit of work on them whilst you're there. Mine was one of two cars selected to go on the stand and have work done to it, the other being the mk1 track/project car owned by a guy called Steve who also happens to be the man responsible for MR2Only, a recently created MR2 specific mag.

Consequently there's a big article on the show in this months issue and although it focusses pretty heavily on their track car I get a fair bit of coverage too. There's a fair few pics plus the best part of a page of blurb written by myself. There's even a small pic of my car being worked on on the front cover

They're a bit ropey cos I had to take photographs due to not having a scanner but I've got some pics: (click for links to full size versions with just about readable text)

The last registered keeper of my car is a Geoffrey Howe who apparently used it to commute between the House of Commons and his law firm in Port Talbot.

Apparently it was the name of his first mk1 although to be fair he's a bit 'Daz' so you never know
