Default Last House on the Left: An anti-recomendation thread

I D/L'ed this a while ago

Now I am a fan of horror movies and the chance to see a Wes Craven movie which was banned for years and still isn't on general release in the UK was quite a draw, however.

Sitting down to watch it this is an appaulingly badly acted, scored, writen and filmed piece of rubbish and I don't recomend it.

Filmed in 1971 on a shoestring budget its a tale of rape and murder and just unpleasentness, I was hopeing for horror but this is just sick, the whole thing just grates on the neves, there is minimal suspense just blood and guts and nastiness.

If you want, the acting of a 70s porn movie, coupled with the score of a piss poor folk singer singing about rape and murder and the filming technique of the Blair Witch Project with the stroyline of a very nasty Crimewatch rape re-enactment then this is your ideal film.

I strongly recomend you don't watch this movie

I've had the misfortune to see it. That is to say we started to watch it then gave up.

The lead character Krug was misunderstood, all he wanted was to be loved. The end of the film turned into a twisted version of Home Alone complete with castration (but more laughs).

It's not David Hess' finest moment, he was much better as Alex in House On The Edge Of The Park.

At least I'm not the only one who though it was a worthless piece of ****.

The movie is a comedy of errors, plus it has banjo music during the chase scenes.

Could it be improved by replacing the banjo music during the chase scenes with "Yakkity Sax" a la Benny Hill?
