The first thing in HD that has REALLY impressed me
I've just sat here and watched the whole of Star Wars Episode 3 in the full 1080 *sadly i not p but hey...*
I swear it did not look this good in the cinema. The final fight between Vader and Obi Wan looks simply stunning. However - the bit where Vader has his mask closed is However - the bit that steals the HD presentation for me is the fight between the Emperor and Yoda in the senate meeting room - SO much detail. I now have faith in HDTV... Not much...but I have some. Now - if only there could be one HD video format created - or Blue Ray to die. Simon/~Flibster

I watched the shuttle launch in HD. That certainly opened my eyes to the format.

Source was a pure .ts stream Just under 10gb for the whole film.
Was watching it on my Sony 24" 16:10 Widescreen CRT running at 1920x1200 *who needs cacky tft's* Sound was fed by my Audigy 4 through 6 cheap mono amps going to 5 Mission M70's and a B&O Sub that I've borrowed for a while. I sat there giggling like a little schoolgirl. The shuttle launch was a very good demo as well. When the engines fired I nearly shat myself. Simon/~Flibster

Aw nuts. This sounds like one film I shouldn't watch while holding a credit card

I have the plasma screen for the job, but I'm still not convinced about getting Sky HD. I waste enough money on Sky already because I can't choose what/how much of the package to cancel. Therefore, spending an extra £10/mo for a few channels I'm equally unlikely to watch seems a little silly.
