I have decided that....
Consoles have the best multiplayer:
Even though you are often limited to just 4 players, console multiplayer is the best because: >You know the four mates on the couch infront of the telly. >Your mates never get stressed when they loose they just laugh. >You often have a nice big stash of sharing and caring alcohol/food and maybe drugs on the coffee table. >The fact that you are playing against mates you know allows any game, even really crap ones become great fun. >You do not need to worry about ping, connections, networks, FPS, AA, mouse sensitivity, packetloss, rates, turning off sound (I'm looking at you Eve!). >The CD player is usually blaring over. >You don't need 4 seperate copies of the game, when shared the whole lot is cheaper. >Is better than LAN because you don't have to shift PCs. >Is better than the internet because there are no ****ers. Hazzaaah!

Some of the guys at work play a fair amount of console games but they're also married which does create some issues with the idea of inviting them round for multiplayer anything

Just wait till one of them gets a Wii and invites you round for a wiggle of their waggler.
