I've just been informed (and duly checked on the interweb) that daylight saving time in Egypt ends at midnight - meaning the clocks go back and I get an extra hour in bed

This means that until BST ends on 28th October, we will only be one hour ahead of you guys instead of two.

I feel sorry for the night shift supervisor though; he got on the rig today at about 12, only had 4 hours kip and then has to work 13 hours instead of 12
