Battlefield 2142, yes/no ?

It's been out for a while but I've never really looked at it until today where I saw some screenshots.

I'm only a casual gamer, but I'm sure some people here have played it. I'm not really interested in online play and if it has an 'easy' setting, I'd be playing on that.

What's the general feeling about it?

I'm very interested in waiting for Quake wars to be honest, though I don't know if I'll get the time to devote to getting into it.

don't play and more BF games... EA suck balls.

they killed BF2 years ago, and then brought this latest carp out...

i used to have great fun playing BF2, then they patched me outta the game - so many bugs - and then the 'fixes' broke mine completely! grrr

oh, and to top it off they put a root kit in BF2142

I thought BF2142 was a massive improvement over BF2 but if you're not interested in playing it multiplayer, I just wouldn't bother - Battlefield games don't really have great singleplayer modes.

As Pickers said, though, Quake Wars is due out next week and from the quick look I had at the beta, that's shaping up to be a fantastic game.
