Default Vista's Broken Itself...

Right, i went to bed last night after leaving Vista business upgrading to vista ultimate - all seemed well.

I awoke this morning with my machine sat at my XP login with a message telling me that one of the registry files gave in and an old one had to be recovered.

I tried to reboot and run a vista disk again and got an unexpected I/O error with Boot\BCD whatever that is

any ideas how i can fix this error and go back and repaid vista?

Backup your data before you do anything else, your HDD could be dying.

i've already backed up my user settings, but it seems odd - its a rather new WD disk thats never showed any signs of any issues until this morning
