LAN Mode RPG's for Coop play

Anyone got any recommendations, anything that lets 2 players play the main campaign of a game over LAN/ i've tried NWN2 but as my copy is a little suspect i'm having difficulties joining an existing game.

Working now, i changed the machine that was hosting. Not sure why it made any difference as none have a firewall on. Still would like to hear recommendations.
