Default Can anyone test my C2D chip?

I have a borked system here, and I have no idea what's wrong with it

I thought it was the motherboard so had that tested and sure enough it was dead so got a refund and bought an Abit IP35 Pro..

That turned up this morning and doesn't work as can be seen here

I can test the RAM out on a friends computer, but I have no friends locally that are using C2D machines.

I know this is a long shot becuase of the hassle involved but I thought I'd ask anyways

Would anyone here be willing and able to test my chip out to see whether it's broken? I'll pay postage charges both ways and all that jazz.

I don't think there's any risk of me breaking your system, but then again I'm the one with 2 dead computers

Cheers

Matt

Pity this wasn't a few days ago as I would have been happy to do it for you. Unfortunately, I'm in Egypt on the rig now and won't be home for a month

Maybe the Huddster can help you out.

Cheers guys

Currently in an email discussion with a tech support guy from Scan... who seems to have the amazing ability to NOT read emails. twice I've had to direct him to the previous email when he's asked me a question.

The first email was the usual "take it out of the case, remove all components except for the CPU and boot it, then add a stick of ram, then the gfx card" etc. etc.

I replied, "I did that, and then it came to a stop point where it was giving me the bootblock message saying it was trying to read from the A:/ which was not attached.. So I then Attached it to see if it would read which it didnt"

So he comes back to me saying "it's the floppy drive, if it was working before you plugged that in then I'd say it's that"

WTF?!?!! READ WHAT I'M SAYING?!
