No... I haven't been lifting stolen goods
However I did wonder why alarms kept going off when I was out sales shopping on thurs and other people were frantically looking in their bags... Anyone know how to get one off? I can't take it back as my dad reckons they will think I nicked it even though I have the receipt :/ BB x |

1. You're a liar
2. I don't believe you 3. you could try putting a strong magnet on the back and it might pull the mechanism enough that you can open it but I don't recommend prising it off 4. You could come clean, just admit it and go back to the shop and give it back. Most likely they will believe your pack of lies story and take the tag off for you. Who says crime never pays eh?

Aren't some tags full of ink? You try to get it off and it sprays all over the place?

If you have a receipt then take it back, head straight for senior looking staff/security guard and just say "I bought this a couple of days ago, I have the receipt, but the ink tag is still on it. I didn't realise until I got home" - make sure you are in the store a minimum amount of time before approaching a member of staff otherwise it does look super dodgy.
Your other option, as mentioned, is a super strong magnet |

Hmmm thanks very much!!!
Mum cut it off in the end.... couldn't stop her... I had thought about taking it into Tesco or somewhere else who would have a machine but bro said that wouldn't be the best idea. Don't have time to go back into Brighton, and unfortunately its a boutiqey shop and not a chain... booo!!! Thanks for the responses though guys. PS Paula - found the hats - they are £7!!! But the black one was too big BB x |

I had problems once when shopping. I kept setting the alarms off going IN to shops. Luckily the security people remembered me on the way out and I didn't have any problems - was a bit embarrassing though. Eventually, one of the shops I went into tried everything I had with me through the scanner and found the culprit - a pair of shoes I'd bought earlier.Luckily, their tag removal thingy was able to remove it and further embarrassment was averted.

You can wind people up with the sticky backed tags that they have on computer games... peel one off and put it sticky side up on the floor... wait for somebody to tread on it and then try to walk out
well, it was fun when I was at school
