Default Bridgend Suicides..

Another girl tried to committ suicide last night, the 3 attempted suicide, with the 7 successful suicides.

It is extremely odd, and chilling. What do other people think the reasons behind this are happening? And is it really down to internet networknig sites?
Is it a cult?

All questions going through my mind abit at the moment. Will be interesting to find out the reasons for them all, especially to stop anymore form happening!

It does seem to becoming more of a problem.. The track between Manor Park and Shefield seems to attract at least once jumper a week. In fact, it's so common, there are Samaritan signs at the end of the platforms

This is incredibly sad, my thoughts go out to their families and friends i know just how awful it is for them.
I hope that these people in the article aren't falling for the 'romance' of suicide as there really isn't any. It is such a taboo subject but we NEED to talk about it, if we don't then people will never see that there is help there for them and there are other options. Obviously it will never completely go away but hopefully many needless deaths will be avoided.

I've been completely flabber-gasted at the recent news on this.

I don't know what to feel about it all... I just struggle to understand why people would think committing suicide is a good thing. It's their whole life... just gone.

It's hard. My mind boggles at it. I've seen a number of hangings too (suicides) when working with the police and they've left haunting images in my head. How can these young kids find these pictures, think "ooh, everyone's doing it, it sounds amazing", and then do it themselves... I just really can't understand it at all. At their age I would have been terrified at the notion of it... it's astounding how numb some of the next generation are. They're just taking more and more extremes to get a wow factor. I'd prefer them to get drunk and take drugs as opposed to kill themselves... atleast then they have the opportunity to turn themselves around at a later date.

I know kids are very impressionable but their lives. Gone. It's just... baffling.

Really struggling with this one. Don't know why, but I am.

My heart goes out to all those around the kids who have taken their lives (I would say victims... but in some of the cases I have read I'm not sure they are. But then again, this is all from a newspaper so I should probably take it all with a pinch of salt).

I'm not that a religious person but I found myself saying a prayer for others out their even considering this new fad and begged they wouldn't do it.

Strange. Has affected me a lot.

Its true, it is just a baffling case. For a group of in someways connected teenagers who from what it seems had no signs of depression to just hang themselves in the same way (in my mind there are easier ways of doing it if you were that determined).

It does seem kind of "cultish" but that doesnt seem so believable these days.
If I was a parent I'd be so scared that it would happen to my kid. Thomas Davies mum asked him if he would do the same thing when his friend died he replied "No of course not mum I love you too much"...2 days later he was found dead.
