Show Tunes..... oh go on there must be at least one!
I must admit in my broad and varied taste in music there is a special place for show tunes. I just can't help it, they write them like that on purpose! Those not always, but often cheesy tunes that you can't help belting out when you hear them. Tell me I'm not alone, everyone must have at least one show tune they love (or is it just some girls and gay men ). I'm sure at least one person who frequents these forums admitted before that they really rather liked a good show tune.

Is there a specific definition of a 'show tune', or can it be any song from a piece of musical theatre or film?
I'd offer: Anything from Bugsy Malone Loads from Dr. Dolittle inc. 'My Friend the Doctor', 'Beautiful Things'. 'I've Never Seen Anything Like It', 'Talk to the Animals'... 'Consider Yourself' from Oliver! 'Hushabye Mountain', 'Toot Sweets' and others from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. 'Pure Imagination', 'I've Got a Golden Ticket' and 'Candyman' from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. And I know everyone loves a bit of 'Step In Time' from Mary Poppins.
