Default Doing stuff on your own

Would you sit in a pub with a book and have lunch on your own?

I'm off, I'm bored, I dont want to do housework, I dont want to sit in, I don't want to do anything energetic, I don't particularly want to chat to people, I just want a couple of hours downtime and thought about sitting in a pub garden with a book and some nice pubgrub.

Would you?

I would, most definitely. I'd probably be more likely to have a laptop or PDA with me than a book, but like Daz said pub grub is nom so I'd go for it

I know enough people in my local for it not to be weird but I do it in other pubs sometimes, I don't really care. I have an unlimited cinema pass and go on my own most of the time as its easier than sorting out when and where to go with someone else.

When my girlfriend isn't around I do more stuff on my own.

Yes. Done it several times. Why not?

I'm single though so that might account for my willingness not to even think about it.

Yup. Used to go sit in a pub or on a bench or beach or park alone and people watch/read/write/do some contact juggling. I love it. Very mind clearing and relaxing.

But then, I am quite comfortable in my own company and somewhat enjoy it

Also been to the cinema countless times alone, theatre once or twice and other places too
