What a day
Last night my eldest (15) got rushed into hospital with stomach pains and had to have an emergency appendectomy this evening.
We spent the day before he went in messing about playing with his hydraulic bed and taking the piss out of each other. I walked him down to the anesthesia room and that was where he got got scared and was obviously trying not to cry. I was very good and waited until he went under the anesthetic before bursting into tears. He was back in about an hour and grabbed my hand when he saw me. He might be 6ft and in size 12 shoes but he's still my baby really. I am now home with his brother and sister while his dad stays with him. Phew. What a bloody day!

He was doing a wicked impression of Ozzy before the op. I need to video it.

Awww bless him. Its so scary when your child has to have an op. I don't think it matters what age they are.
Hope he's feeling better soon *hugs* for you all. |

Aw bless, I agree with the always be your baby thing, I dont have any kids, but when I had to have an operation at 25 I could still see the worry in my Mums eyes as she tried to hold it together.
Im sure he'll be back and shaking his appendix at you (thats provided he asked to keep it) in a little pot in no time! |
