F1 & Lewis Hamilton Chat
I have not been a big fan of Lewis Hamilton until NOW !!!
I have just watched him win at Silverstone & what can I say, In those conditions he has Really proved himself. For me I felt he hadn't really proved himself but I can say now that he has without doubt proved he has Superior skillz handling an F1 car. I can only think of 2 other drivers that have driven F1 cars in similar conditions under such pressure that have come through it on top & that is Senna & Schumacher. I have been annoyed at the constant mention of Sennas name around Hamilton as I felt it just wasn't deserved & was completly unproven, I can say now that although it is still Very early days I do believe that Hamilton is a Great driver & in time will have the results to prove it. Superb British GP & I mean Superb As for F1 moving to Donnington I have to say WTF, After all the Government money they have spent on Silverstone they are moving it, Another WTF moment for me. If it does actually end up at Donny though it's only 30 mins down the road from me & will improve the track & facilitys to one of my home tracks which can't be a bad thing. Gutted about Silverstone though as I Love Silverstone it is an Awesome track. |

He had a good race today but I still think all the Senna/Schumacher stuff is way OTT.
At the start of last season I was a really big fan of his but tbh the media has ruined it for me, they way overhype him, talk about him constantly and i'm starting to get sick of the sound of his name. He's a great driver and I like him but I wish everyone would just shut the **** up about him for 5 minutes. ITV F1 may as well be called the Lewis Hamilton Show at the moment.

Well I felt Exactly the same way Rich & it's the whole Circus thing that has put me off him in the past. Thankfully we will lose that Tit commentating once it goes to the BBC & lose the adverts, Hopefully they'll take Martin as I like him.
I could ignore all the hype though today as finally Lewis had a chance to show what he can actually do with a race car. Lapping the World Champ is No mean feat & lapping the Old World Champ was just a bonus. He really did Excell today |

Bah, wish I'd taken advantage of the free ticket and gone now. I normally find F1 races send me to sleep but this one was pretty good.

Cant wait for the F1 to leave Silverstone. Shame Donnington is such a bad idea.
Hell, I'd be happy to have it leave the UK. I don't like Silverstone. Not as a spectator or working there. Lewis *the local boy... * had a fantastic race today though. The fact he was told to slow down in the last 15 laps shows just how good he was.
