My train hit someone on the way home.
Got on my usual 5:46 train from Worcester to Hereford, I drifted off soon I sat down and woke up 15 mins later in the middle of nowhere and heard an announcement that someone was hit by our train????
Then i saw a few paramedics walking past my window, and then some policemen too, looked up and they were all there on the tracks. The "accident" happened around the center of this photo where the track is., about 200 yards south is Great Malvern Station and it was about to stop so it wasn't going that fast as it just left Malvern Link. Looking out of my window, the police looking at some family photos. Took this when it was raining outside, just about see the policeman and some network rail people, the injuried lied about 5 meters further up. I couldn't get any better shots as the window outside where the scene was had LOADS of people and it would be weird for me to force my way in the middle and take a photo. |

I'll see you there.
I've been delayed a couple of times because of this sort of thing. Last time it was on the Uppsala - Arlanda Airport line in Sweden and I ended up missing a flight because of it. It was only after I'd stopped fuming about having to spend another night in Sweden that I thought about how desperate (and cowardly) someone must be to do something like that. |
