Default The old ticker had a nice workout just now!

I came off a night turn last night, so I got home at about 06.45 this morning. As usual I fell straight into bed just as Mike was getting the kids up, and was out like a light by about 7am. I sleep REALLY lightly normally, and I put my fan on in my room to drwon out all the little noises like the dog moving around and the kitten playing.

At half 2 this afternoon someone came bursting into my bedroom. Asleep to KILL!1!!! in half a second. Actually, it wasnt KILL!!!, it was more 'Crap I've got nothing on and nothing in my room to use as a weapon and I've got another night tonight and I need more sleep!!' Amazing how many thoughts you can have in half a second!

Turns out Sophie was ill in the night and is off school, shes been watching movies downstairs all morning and decided half 2 was plenty late enough for me to be making her some lunch thank you very much.

Scuse my language, but **** me, I nearly jumped out my bedroom window

If they're puking there is no point sending them into school as school will just send 'em right back home again!
