It'll probably be £2k when it comes out. The 1Ds is slightly more expensive at £4.5k. I'm looking at getting one when it comes out.

Interesting to see how the lines are disappearing in the camera world. A DSLR with live view and movie mode. Who'd have thunk it.

Surprised by the 21mp - was expecting the 16mp from the 1Ds MkII
The ISO range is very impressive, as long as it retains the ability of the 5d at high ISO 1600 - more noise would be acceptable above that really. Full HD video is very surprising though. Was expecting VGA or 1280x720 really. Recording time is limited in length sadly, but could certainly be useful at times, Not really surprised by much of the rest. Disappointed by some of it. Shame they've stuck to a low FPS and AF points - I suppose they couldn't really do much about this without impacting on the 1Ds MkIII sales substantially. It's almost my ideal camera, but the 1Ds suits me more. Bugger.

This may seem like an odd question but why would they limit the movie recording time?

Sensor would overheat and suffer from a mild case of deadness.
