Default Will this be good enough?

I'm just poking around thinking about the new Command & Conquer game coming out soon and came to realise my current system will probably choke just playing the intro movie. I've currently got an AMD Athlon 3000+, 512MB, 32MB ATI AIW.

I was wondering if you folks think this would be okay for the game? And what would you all recommend for a vid card (I don't need top end, I just need playable). I haven't been in the high end circles for a couple years now and am completely lost as to what is good, bad, or just complete and utter FAIL.

Any and all (serious) input would be greatly appreciated.

Afraid I can't offer much advise on the parts from but I know Robert bought himself a new graphics card so will send him this way. Do you have a budget for a graphics card?

As always, as cheap as possible to get the job done. I'm not really that into gaming, so making it capable for games other than C&C3 isn't a priority at all. So long as I can play C&C3, I'm good. So, whatever will accomplish that goal, I'll probably be good with.

I'm probably going to put 2GB of system memory in. As I'm still running XP (and will be until they stop supporting it) I think that should be sufficient. I've got my 160B HDD only at about 25% capacity, so drive space isn't a concern. My monitor is good (Acer 20" LCD DVI) and my power supply is good (Generic 450W) as is my DVDRW (Toshiba SD-R5112) and I'm not picky about sound living in an apartment and on night shift, so either onboard or my old SB Audigy Gamer 2 will do fine.

That only leaves mobo and mem, CPU and video. For video I was thinking this would be good. Thoughts?
